CREAM, the annual competition held by The Talent Business to identify emerging global creative talent, has partnered with Mother for a finale with a difference. The private view that introduces the competition winners to the world’s leading advertising agencies and creative businesses will take the form of CREAM 2012 – The Mother Bar Crawl.
Guests attending CREAM 2012 – The Mother Bar Crawl will have the chance to visit 20 pop-up bars at Mother, each of which will be run by one of the 20 competition winners. In order to get a drink, guests will need to talk to the barkeepers – giving guests the chance to get to know the winners and for winners to talk through their work. CREAM 2012 – The Mother Bar Crawl will be a way for creative directors to engage with the work and the winners more than ever before, all while having a good old fashioned East End knees-up.
CREAM is held annually by The Talent Business to support emerging creative talent from around the world by introducing them to the creative directors of the world’s leading agencies and creative businesses.
Now in its 13th year, CREAM has provided a platform for creatives who have gone on both to deliver famous work, awarded on an international scale (D&AD, Clio, One Show, Cannes Lions, Creative Circle), and to become high-profile CDs/ECDs and agency founders. More recently, winners of CREAM have had immediate offers of placements, freelance trials and full-time jobs from agencies including RKCR Y&R, Publicis, Google, TBWA, Adam & Eve, Wieden & Kennedy and Mother.
For CREAM 2012, more than 120 portfolios have been submitted to The Talent Business. A pre-eminent panel of top creatives from around the world including Paul Silburn, Jan Jacobs, John Patroulis, Caroline Pay, Maxi Itzkoff, Toby Talbot, Icaro Doria and Jon Burley have judged the portfolios, and decided on the 20 winners to go forward to the CREAM 2012 – The Mother Bar Crawl.
Ben Heap, Head of Creative Resource at Mother London, says: “We’ve always been huge fans of CREAM, so we jumped at the opportunity to host the private view. It’s great that, together with The Talent Business, Mother can give the best young creative talent an opportunity to celebrate and showcase their work – and also to get a sneaky peek for ourselves!
Young, fresh thinking is crucial to the industry, but it’s tougher now more than ever for new graduates to get noticed, let alone hired. This year’s CREAM event will not only give some of the world’s finest emerging creative's a head start, but will also be one of the best nights of their lives.”
Tanya Livesey, Global Head of Creative Talent at The Talent Business, says: “Finding brilliant talent, the lifeblood of agencies, continues to be one of the toughest challenges the industry faces. Our global reach means that we are able to offer this unique platform that connects the industry’s top ECD’s with the most promising young creative talent from all over the world, who in turn we hope will be the future leaders of their agencies. It’s an absolute honour to be able to host CREAM with Mother this year – it promises to be truly memorable.”
CREAM 2012 will be held at Mother (The Biscuit Building, 10 Redchurch Street, London, E2 7DD) from 6.30 pm till 11pm on Thursday 4th October.
